DISINFECTION AND DISINFESTATION.
Infected rooms are sprayed with Formalin when the infected patient
is removed to hospital. The clothing is, at the same time, disinfected
in a Washington Lyons Disinfector.
With regard to disinfestation, slipper baths are provided at the
Disinfecting Station, and persons in a verminous condition are bathed
there, while their clothing and bedding are disinfected by steam.
1,571 rooms were disinfected.
10,343 articles were disinfected or destroyed.
253 library books were disinfected.
33 persons were bathed.
COMMON LODGING HOUSES.
There are 5 Common Lodging Houses in the district. All have
been kept under observation, and have been found to be satisfactory at
each of the visits.
EXHUMATIONS.
One exhumation took place at the Tottenham Cemetery, under the
supervision of the Sanitary Inspector, in compliance with the Home
Office requirements.
