HOUSING.
The number of houses in the borough at the 1931 Census
was 48,907, and the number of occupied houses was 48,609. In
1937 the number of houses in the borough was 50,247. The density
of the population was 56 persons per acre.
Particulars of the work carried out in connection with
housing matters during 1937 are given in Table I.
