request to St. Mary's Hospital, Plaistow, E.13, and to Queen
Mary's Hospital, Stratford, E.15, hut no request was made during
1937.
Table I. sets out particulars of the attendances at the
various hospitals of West Ham residents during the year under
review.

It is interesting to note that very few of the 461 new cases
who were seen at the clinics visited the health department for
advice. This suggests that particulars of treatment facilities are
now well known.
Pathological examinations. With regard to the pathological
examinations of various material or specimens, for or at the
centres, particulars will be found in Table II.
