Disinfection. During 1937 the number of articles which
were removed from infected houses for disinfection was 19,640.
The number of hospital articles disinfected was 22,943. Further
details of these articles arc given in another section.
Laboratory work. Details of the swabs examined for the
presence of the diphtheria bacillus during the year are set out in
Table XII.
Diphtheria in the inoculated. During the year there were
11 cases of diphtheria in children who had been previously
immunized. Details of these cases are given in Table XIII.
