The number of cellar bakehouses certified by the Council
under the Factory and Workshop Act, 1901, was 43, but nine of
these have lapsed.
During the year the sanitary inspectors have made 252 visits
to bakehouses, and appropriate action has been taken in cases
where conditions have not been considered satisfactory.
