Ice Cream.
Twelve samples of Ice Cream were taken from shops and
itinerant vendors and submitted for bacteriological examination.
Of these, three were found to contain excessive bacteria, two B.
Coli, and in one case excessive bacteria and B. Coli. Letters of
caution were sent, and inspections made of the premises where
the ice cream was prepared.
The condition of milk from which cream is made is also a
verv potent factor in its purity.
