Milk:

The methlene blue failures were investigated and a further programme of sampling
arranged.
Ice Cream:
Bacteriological examination of ice-cream samples taken were reported upon as
follows:
Grade I 40
Grade II 7
Grade III 2
Grade IV -
Unsatisfactory results were investigated and subsequent reports from the same
sources proved satisfactory.
Other Foods:
Bacteriological examination of 119 items were made during the period. Satisfactory
reports were received.
Adulteration of Food:
The table below is a summary of the total 521 samples of food and drugs
which were purchased for examination by the Public Analyst, Mr. J.A. Palgrave, B.Sc.,
F.R.I.C.
