HOUSING
Clearance of Unfit Houses.
Thirteen families were re-housed from unfit houses and sixteen houses were
demolished.
The owners of one unfit house gave an undertaking under Section 16 of the
Housing Act, 1957, that the premises would not be used for human habitation.
At a later date the house was made fit for habitation and the owners released
from their undertaking.

Legal proceedings were instituted against the owner of premises to enforce a
notice served under Section 93 of the Public Health Act, 1936. An order was made
by the Court for repairs to the premises to be carried out within 28 days.
