Anticoagulant poison-Warfarin 0.5% Master Mix was used with

recorded.

(2) Test Baiting (1963-64)
With the approval of the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food
no further test baiting will be carried out in the sewers of the Borough, due
to the fact that the records of past treatments and tests shew where the
main seats of rat infestation are most likely to occur and it will therefore
be possible to carry out two treatments a year on those areas of infestation.
In addition it will now be possible to systematically treat all manholes
on the Council's soil sewers over a period of say 5 years and in this way
any small isolated area of infestation will be dealt with.
(3) Treatment No. 33 - First Maintenance Treatment (1963-64)
This treatment was confined to the sections proved to be infested by
the annual 10% test baiting, and operations were completed on the
19th October, 1963.
Warfarin 0.5% Master Mix was again used, as this poison is harmless
to the operators using it and a more positive result is anticipated by the
complete eradication of rats in the sewers treated.
