(3) Treatment No. 29 - First Maintenance Treatment (1961-62)
This treatment was confined to the sections known to have been
infested during the previous maintenance treatment (No.28) together with
those sections proved to be infested by the annual 10% test baiting, and
operations were completed on the 6th November, 1961.
Warfarin 0.5% Master Mix was again used, as this poison is harmless
to the operators using it and a more positive result is anticipated by the
complete eradication of rats in the sewers treated.
Rebaiting and examination of the infested manholes continued until no
bait takes were recorded.
