Stroke Abatement and Atmospheric Pollution
There are but few industrial chimneys in the Borough.
Six complaints of smoke emission were received and dealt with
during the year, 3 of these were in respect of bonfires, two from heating
appliances in industrial premises, and one in respect of an incinerator.
Grit Deposit Measuring Gauges
In conjunction and with the co-operation of the Department of
Scientific & Industrial Research, the grit deposit measuring gauges have
been maintained and samples collected monthly for analytical examination.
