The incidence of Pulmonary Tuberculosis was 1.8 per thousand
persons examined, compared with 1.0 per thousand in the area
served by this X-Ray unit, which includes the County of Surrey.
The findings are an index of infection in a sample of the
population. They show the value of Mass Radiography in securing
diagnosis and treatment.
The finding of non-tuberculous abnormalities gives an
opportunity for advice and treatment and the prevention of disablement.
