In the case of the two unsatisfactory samples examined
by the Methylene Blue (Reductase) Test, both were of
Heat Treated milk, one being decolourised in five minutes
and the second at the end of fifteen minutes. Subsequent
sampling of milk from the same source proved to be
satisfactory.
ICE CREAM
At the end of 1946, 106 premises had been registered in
accordance with Section 14 of the Food and Drugs Act,
1938. On eight of these premises ice cream could be
manufactured.
