GENERAL PROVISION 0F PUBLIC HEALTH SERVICES
FOR THE AREA
LEGISLATION, HOSPITALS, and MORTUARY: - There was no change
during the year.
I. A BORATORIES: - The arrangement which was made with the
Ministry of Health on 1st July, 1943, for bacteriological examinations
to bo carried out at their Laboratories at St. Helier Hospital, and at
Epsom College, was continued during tie year "1945.
AMBULANCES :- On 1st July, 1945, the Council's Ambulance was
transferred to the Fire Station, Throwley, Road, Sutton, (Telephone
Number Vigilant 2222-3-4). Details of the service are recorded on
Page 28.
