A satisfactory numerical standard of Sampling over a wide range
of commodities was again maintained in 1945 and of the total Samples
only l„54$j were found to bo other than genuine, this fact being a
very gratifying feature of the year's sampling.
The details of the unsatisfactory Samples are:-
Beef Sausages.

Ifo meat' and no soya flour.

In this case there was a doubt as to whether vegetable
sausages were not sold as beef. In view of a possible mistake
no further action was taken.
Pork Sausages.
A'n Informal sample and a repeat Formal Sample revealed
a meat content of only 30fo end 20/o respectively instead of
50$ as- prescribed by the Meat Products, Canned Soup and Canned
Meat (Control & Maximum Prices) Order, 1944.
