Routine disinfection of blankets, bedding etc. were carried out on the
premises in the above table as required. In addition, certain articles of
clothing, 4 parcels of clothing destined for countries abroad, and when necessary,
books for both public and private libraries, were disinfected on the Public
Health Department premises.
An arrangement is in force whereby the South West Middlesex Hospital Management
Committee undertakes to carry out emergency disinfection of smallpoxinfected
clothing and bedding on demand.
