GENERAL PROVISION OF HEALTH SERVICES IN THE
BOROUGH.
Civil Ambulance Service.
The Council provide and maintain two ambulances.
The staff consists of four drivers and four driver-attendants
working in 24-hour shifts.
Both vehicles are available for call night and day throughout
the year.
Work of the Ambulances during the year 1945.
Number of public calls dealt with 839
Number of private calls dealt with 485
