GENERAL PROVISION OF HEALTH SERVICES IN THE BOROUGH
CIVIL AMBULANCE SERVICE
The normal Complement of vehicles in this Service is three,
two manned fully at all times with one vehicle in reserve.
The use of female attendants-drawn from the Civil Defence
personnel-has proved a satisfactory arrangement especially when
the ambulances were in use for the conveyahco of maternity cases.
