HOUSING.
By reason of the fact that the Sanitary Staff was otherwise
engaged coupled by the difficulty, experienced by builders in
obtaining labour and necessary materials, the usual routine
house-to-house inspection in the Borough was suspended.

The position in regard to the progress of programmes under
this Act is exactly the same as that shown for-the preceding
year. . . ..
Where cases of over-crowding have occurred these have been
referred to the Council's special Housing Department and
satisfactorily dealt with.
