The patients spent 27,182 days in hospital, so that the average
cost of each patient per day was 9/8¾. Taking the patient days
27,182 and the staff-days 13,110, or a total of 40,292, the average
cost of food works out at 1/2½ per person per day.
MATERNITY HOSPITAL.
The number of patients admitted to the Maternity Hospital
during the year ending 31st March, 1936, was 516, eight more than in the
previous year.
