Report of the Chief Dental Officer
Dental care continued to be provided for all pre-school
children, and Nursing and Expectant Mothers who
requested it.
The amount of treatment for this group of patients
continues to rise, even if slowly.
The implementation of Fluoridation of domestic water
supplies would be particularly beneficial to the pre-school
child, but although the London Borough of Hounslow has
expressed itself in favour of this measure, failure to obtain
a unanimous decision of the London Boroughs has blocked
its implementation.
