1. The general health of the population in this District has
been good during 1944. This was very apparent in children and the
number of notifiable infectious diseases were less than in 1943.
2. Diphtheria Immunisation is being carried out satisfactorily
in the District and there was only one case notified.
3. The Infant death rate is coming down but tho births and
deaths are slightly up.
4. Cases of Tuberculosis have not increased but the deaths
from Tuberculosis are up.
5. The District is still in urgent need of more houses.
