The following table gives an indication of the number of children between 5 and 15 years of age
who have been reported to the Local Health Authority in accordance with Section 57 of the Education
Act, 1944, during the past few years, together with those who are in the informal care of the Local
Health Authority.
During 1967 8 children (6 boys and 2 girls) were referred under Section 57.
