RECUPERATIVE HOLIDAYS
Following recommendations from general practitioners and hospital medical staff, arrangements
were made for 45 persons (adults and children) to be admitted to recuperative holiday homes. A few
applications were withdrawn, one or two people were not well enough to travel when the time came,
and eventually 33 holidays were arranged.
The usual recuperative holiday lasts a fortnight. In eight cases the "full cost" was paid, and the
remainder were charged in accordance with the Council's assessment scale.
