Recuperative Holidays for Children
Seven children were recommended under Section 48 of the Education Act, 1944, and recuperative
holidays were arranged for them. These holidays are provided free of charge.
Tuberculosis Occurring in Teachers and Pupils
I am happy to report that there was only one case of pulmonary tuberculosis in a schoolchild.
Contact tracing had already been undertaken by the staff of the Chest Clinic, and no action was required
from the School Health Service.
