Routine Audiometry
The investigations were continued in the junior departments and infant departments of primary schools, and the results of the work performed can be summarised as follows:—
Number of individual children tested | 7,347 |
Number found to have normal hearing | 6,865 |
Number found to have a hearing loss | 482 |
Of the 482 children found to have a hearing loss:—
119 were found to have a hearing loss in the right ear;
156 were found to have a hearing loss in the left ear;
207 were found to have a hearing loss in both ears.
