As time goes on it is becoming more obvious that facilities and time ought to be made available,
particularly in the senior schools, for the medical officer to be able to undertake consultations in those
cases where particular problems have been presented. It would be a distinct advantage if this were
possible so as to encourage pupils to make the fullest possible use of the facilities available. Unfortunately,
it is not at present possible to set aside sufficient time for this purpose.
DEFECTS FOUND BY PERIODIC AND
SPECIAL MEDICAL INSPECTIONS DURING THE YEAR
NOTE:—All defects noted at periodic and special medical inspections are included in this Table,
whether or not they were under treatment or observation at the time of the inspection. This
Table includes separately the number of pupils found to require treatment (T) and the number
of pupils found to require observation (O).
