We are most grateful for the additional voluntary assistance in psychotherapy we
received from Miss Elizabeth Cartwright, attached to us during her period of advanced
training at the Tavistock Clinic, and also from the voluntary assistance of two students
on an advanced course at the Institute of Education.
Regular monthly meetings have continued to be held with the school medical officers,
and regular visits paid to a number of schools by the psychiatrist and psychiatric social
workers. A number of lectures were given at conferences involving statutory and voluntary
organisations. Arising out of discussions over the "mind-week" campaign, improved
systems of communication have now been established with mental health services in
general and the provisions for maladjusted children in particular.
