SCHOOL HEALTH SERVICE
POPULATION.
The population of Richmond upon Thames at mid-1972 was 172,560 (1971—
174,310) of which 21,209 (1971—21,433) were school children in maintained schools.
I am indebted to Mr. M. J. Gifford, B.Sc., Chief Education Officer, for the inform
ation given in Table I. below, Table XVI on pages 74 and 75 and for the information
on Meals and Milk in schools on page 83.
