The number of children receiving milk at non-maintained schools on 23rd September,
1969 was 1,709 (number of children at school 2,067).
In September, 1969, meals were being cooked at 41 school kitchens and three
central kitchens.

Mr. A. W. B. Goode, Town Clerk, has kindly supplied the following details of road accidents to children under 15 years of age :

The two fatal accidents recorded involved a male occupant of a push-chair, aged
4 years and a male passenger in a car, aged 12 years.
