Factories Acts 1937 to 1959.
At the end of the year there were 158 factories on the register (138
mechanical and 20 non-mechanical) and in addition, 8 premises were
recorded for the purpose of Section 7 of the Act (suitability of sanitary
accommodation) being Institutions or sites of building operations.
The following information is given in accordance with Ministry of
Health Circular 1/60 dated the 8th January, 1960.
