(c) Services Provided by the Surrey Executive Council.
Under Part IV of the National Health Service Act 1946, the
Surrey Executive Council has the responsibility of providing General
Medical and Dental Services, Pharmaceutical Services, and Supplementary
Ophthalmic Services.
Twenty-two doctors living within the Borough have undertaken
to provide General Medical Services. Many of these have also undertaken
to provide Maternity Medical Services. A list of doctors taking
part is available at the Main Post Office, Public Library and Public
Health Department.
