Public Health Department,
Parkshot,
Richmond.
July, 1955.
To the Mayor, Aldermen and Councillors
of the Borough of Richmond (Surrey).
Ladies and Gentlemen,
I have the honour to present the Annual Report of the Medical
Officer of Health for the year 1954 upon the Sanitary Circumstances,
Sanitary Administration and Vital Statistics of the Borough.
The form of the report is similar to that for 1953 and is in
accordance with Ministry of Health Circular 28/54.
I think that the report shows that the health of the residents has
been good during the year, that the Department has made every effort
to eliminate any unsatisfactory circumstances, and that progress has
been made.
I would like to thank all members of my Staff for their loyalty
and hard work during the year, and my colleagues in other depart'
ments for their helpful co-operation.
Finally I wish to express my appreciation of the support received
from my Chairman and the Chairmen and members of all Committees
with which I have been concerned.
I am, Ladies and Gentlemen,
Your obedient servant,
ERIC PEREIRA,
Medical Officer of Health.
