In the main the Factories visited were found to be in good
condition, the defects found being mainly minor in character.

Inspections with regard to the Shops Acts have of necessity
been cut this year.
The above figure does not include the number of visits paid to
food shops which, when visited, are covered for all provisions of
the various Acts.
