Drains and Sewerage Systems Tested.
During this year surveys were commenced in respect of "end
of lease" provisions of parts of Queen's Road, Chisholm Road,
Cambrian Road, and Wellington Road, which are properties in the
Freehold Interest of the Richmond Borough Council.
The Department inspected and smoke tested the drainage
systems of 54 of these properties and submitted reports and recommendations
for incorporation in the schedules of dilapidation.

The number of drainage systems reported upon were:—

In addition the usual routine inspections and testings of new or old drainage systems was carried out and the following table shows the number and kinds of tests applied:—
