3. Overcrowding.
Overcrowding is still very considerable throughout the Borough.
Progress is made by the Housing Department but it is unable to
keep pace with the heavy demands.
4. Council Houses.

Future Programme.
At the present time there are 68 permanent houses and flats
under construction and the Council have acquired or are in the
process of acquiring land which will permit the erection of a further
368 dwellings approximately. Present development and future
schemes are all sited in the Ham area.
