DIPHTHERIA IMMUNISATION.
The Diphtheria Germ.
Diphtheria is due to a germ which survives with difficulty apart
from the human body. Thus the disease spreads normally through the
agency either of cases or of "carriers." In rarer instances it has been
spread by milk.
