TUBERCULOSIS.
It has not been necessary to take action under the Public Health
(Prevention of Tuberculosis) Regulations, 1925, or under Section
172 of the Public Health Act, 1936.
Respiratory Tuberculosis (Phthisis). Fifty-seven cases of
this disease were notified during the year (35 males and 22 females).
Of these 41 (28 males and 13 females) were removed to Hospital or
Sanatorium. There were 36 cases notified in 1940.
There were 18 deaths from this disease during the year.
Non-Respiratory Tuberculosis was responsible for 5 deaths
while 10 cases were notified during the year.
