3. (i) Midwifery and Maternity Service.
Maternity and Child Welfare Centres are held thrice weekly
at the Health Centre, Windham Road, while a Centre is held once
weekly at Petersham for the inhabitants of Petersham and Ham.
A Toddlers' Clinic, i.e., a separate clinic for children between
18 months and five years, is held once a fortnight at Windham
Road.
By having separate sessions for the Toddlers it is hoped to
keep in regular touch with many of these children until they reach
school age when they are of course seen by me as School Medical
Officer.
During the year the attendances at the Centres were:—
Windham Road.
Mothers 4,368 Average per session 26
Children 8,584 „ „ „ 51
The Medical Officer of Health held 1,728 consultations during
the year at the Baby Clinics.
Dr. Cryer held 462 consultations at the Toddlers' Clinics.
