(d) Health Visiting
The total number of visits paid by the Health Visitors during
the year was 5,260.
(e) Registered Nursing Homes
There are at present no registered nursing homes in the area but
there are three private homes for elderly persons all of which are
registered with the Essex County Council under the National Assistance
Act, 1948 - Section 37.

(h) Hospitals
The hospitals providing general medical service for Chingford residents
are chiefly the Chingford Hospital, the Connaught Hospital, Walthamstow,

Whipps Cross Hospital, Leytonstone.
