I am concerned at the lack of control over these foodstuffs after
condemnation. Because there is no suitable departmental transport,
condemned food has to be left in the shops until it can be picked up on
a refuse collection round. It is undesirable to leave bad food in the
shops longer than is necessary and in the present circumstances, it is
difficult to check that all the food has been collected.
