Atmospheric Pollution: The borough commenced participation in the
Essex County Council scheme for the measurement of atmospheric pollution
during the year.
New Legislation in I960: New legislation in 1960 included the following
Milk (Special Designation) Regulations 1960
Public Health (infectious Diseases) Amendment Regulations I960
Noise Abatement Act I960
Dr. F.G. Brown, Area Medical Officer, has kindly supplied
the statistical matter on pages 5 and 6.
In conclusion, I would like to record my thanks to the
Chairman and Members of the Health Committee for their support and to
the staff of the Department for their co-operation during the year.
