New Legislation: The Clean Air Act, 1956, and the Slaughterhouses
Act, 1958, came into operation during the year.
Dr. F.G-. Brown, Area Medical Officer, has kindly supplied the
statistical matter on pages 5 and 6.
In conclusion, I would like to record my thanks to the
Chairman and Members of the Health Committee for their support
and to the staff of the Department for their co-operation during
the year.
