Shops Act, 1950.
A total of 1279 visits were paid to shops and generally
conditions were found to be satisfactory.
Swimming Pool.
Summaries of the total chlorine and alkalinity readings are
forwarded weekly to the Health Department by the Borough Engineer,
The Pool was opened on the 11th May and closed on the 8th
September, 1957. The total attendance throughout the season was
160,429, the highest attendance being on the 30th June, 1957, when
11,862 persons were present.
Samples of water were taken from the Pool on seven occasions
during the period May to September and the results in five cases
