6. Food Hygiene Regulation- Good progress was made
during the year in improving standards in accordance
with the Pood Hygiene Regulations. One prosecution
was taken in relation to the wrapping of bread and
margarine in newspaper.

Public Health (Meat) Regulations 1924-52

There is one private licensed slaughterhouse in the Borough and twenty-six butchers, and the following table shows the number of animals slaughtered and inspected up to the 31st December, 1956.
