Summary of Inspections.
The total number of visits paid by the Sanitary Inspectors and
other personnel of the Health Department staff to various premises
for all purposes is summarised below, together with the number of
nuisance s or defects found under specific headings.
During the year recruitment of personnel to the inspectorial
staff was possible and consequently the number of visits paid
increased proportionately. The visits numbered 6253 as compared
with 4372 in the previous year, the defects dealt with numbered
1093 as compared with 884 in 1954.
