Chemical and Bacteriological Examination of Food.
The Essex County Council deal principally with matterscoming
under this heading. I am informed that all samplestaken
for examination in this area were found to be satisfactory.
In addition, a number of samples of milk were taken
for bacteriological examination.
Factories Act, 1937.
There are forty-two factories on the register ; seventythree
visits were made to these premises'. Minor defectsfound
to exist were remedied at request. There are four
outworkers in the district.
