The total number of visits paid by the Sanitary Inspectors
and other personnel of the Health Department staff to various
premises for all purposes is summarised below, together with the
number of defects found under specific headings.
The visits numbered 6,884 as compared with 6,223 in the
previous year; the defects dealt with numbered 1,269 as compared
with 1,079 in 1948.
