Vaccination.
Since tihe 5th July, 1948, when the National Health Service
Act, 1946, came into force, the Vaccination Acts have been completely
repealed, vaccination being now an entirely voluntary
procedure.

Medical Examinations.
During the year 34 examinations were carried out by the
Medical Officer of Health in respect of the Superannuation and
Sick Pay Scheme of the Chingford Corporation. In addition, 30
medical examinations were carried out in respect of Essex
County Council staff.
