Summary of Inspections.
The total number of visits paid by the Sanitary Inspectors
and other personnel of the Public Health Department staff to
various premises for all purposes is summarised below, together
with the number of defects found under specific headings.
The visits numbered 6,223, as compared with 5,620 in the
previous year; the defects dealt with numbered 1,079, as compared
with 737 in 1947.
